With the Information and Communication Technology so highly advanced, it is necessary for us to provide computer education to the children at the school level itself.

The "TNF-Anna University Computer Training for Rural School Children" organized by the Tamil Nadu Foundation during 1991-95 was a great success.

Nearly 100 teachers and 1000 students were provided with 120 hours of hands-on experience with the computers. At the end of the training, under matching grants, Tamil Nadu Foundation has established computer centers in all the 22 Government Higher Secondary Schools in Vellore, Salem, and Trichy Districts.

Since then many schools have been requesting the Tamil Nadu Foundation establish computer centers on their premises. With donations of used computers, Tamil Nadu Foundation will only be too happy to establish a computer center in the schools of the donor's choice.
