Our Goals
TNF's goals are as follows: To establish scholarships for the promotion of education in Tamil Nadu, India. To encourage and recognize those who dedicated their efforts to the improvement and welfare of Tamil Nadu. To help talented young people to achieve distinction in their chosen field in Tamil Nadu. To help provide technical journals, text books and equipment to institutions of learning and institutions of health care. These institutions shall be in existence in Tamil Nadu, India and shall be serving the state of Tamil Nadu. To prove assistance at times of emergency when people's lives are threatened by floods, droughts, famines etc. To act upon any other worthy cause directly concerning the welfare of Tamil Nadu, India. Our Objectives
TNF's objective is to help promote educational, social and other charitable projects in Tamil Nadu as part of a humble attempt by its members to share their fortunes with less fortunate people. It's aim and objectives are distinctly different from those of the local cultural organizations. In fact TNF is the only organization in the world that is entirely devoted to the promotion of economic, and social welfare of the people of Tamil Nadu. What was started as a small attempt by a few individuals to offer their contributions to Tamil Nadu has evolved into a well-developed foundation through the dedication of several members throughout USA. Our Accomplishments
TNF has accomplished several things so far in furtherance of its objectives. Many health related activities have been initiated in Tamilnadu; schools were aided and built; drinking water facilities were established; scholorships were given; famine and drought reliefs were undertaken; the plight of Sri Lankan Tamils were addressed; and all other social issues were taken up in many areas. In spite of these achievements, we have a lot to do. Each one of us should ask what kind of contribution we have made individually to promote the goal of TNF.
